Picture GalleryDownstairs Upstairs Around the House The Great Ice Storm of 2006 |
Below are photos, taken in and around the house. Click on any of the pictures on this page to see a larger version.
The living room, with the dining room in the background, and the fireplace just visible on the left. Look through any of these windows and all you see is woods and stream.
The entertainment center has a 5 DVD/CD changer, surround sound, and dozens of CDs and DVDs. We also have a special cord that you can plug your IPod into, so you can channel that through the speakers.
The foosball room / bedroom. The couch in the background folds out to be a comfortable double bed.
The "downstairs master" or "king master" has the big comfy king-sized bed you can see. What you can't see in this picture are the flat-screen TV with DVD/VCR combo, the big comfy chair to go with the big comfy bed, and the adjoining master bathroom with a double-headed shower.
The fireplace is in the living room. One guest wrote "Even though the weather was pretty awful when we made our way up the mountain on Friday, the home was warm and inviting when we arrived and we felt very cozy and safe."
Guests Bob and Kitty Schaum spent Christmas at Magic River with their children and grandchildren. When Kitty mailed back the keys, she wrote: "Just a note to let you know what a wonderful time we all had at your lovely home in the mountains. It was all you promised and more. We brought a small artificial Christmas pre-lit tree with us and we handmade the decorations for it. It was beautiful." Best of all, she sent us the photos!
The "upstairs master" or "queen master" with the queen-sized bed showing. The headboard has invididual interior lights if you (like we) like to read in bed. You can also see a glimpse of the adjoining master bathroom, which has a shower and a big soaking tub.
The "bunk room." The top bunk is a single bed; the bottom bunk is a futon that folds out into a double bed. (Move the mouse over the picture to see the other state.)
The "twin room" actually has three twin beds, two of which you see here.
Kenny loves this picture so much that he blew it up huge and hung it over the bed in the downstairs master.
No, these aren't our kids: this picture was sent to us by the Sanfords, who stayed in the house in October, 2007. The picture is on the road right outside the house, possibly heading back from the Old Appalachian Trail.
This is our family, but it's not at our house. This was our first visit to Wintergreen, in October of 2004. This is when we first fell in love with Wintergreen in the Autumn. Move the mouse over the picture to see what we looked like three years later, in October of 2007.
